2026 International Conference on
Plant Stem Cell and Regeneration

Plant stem cells and regeneration form the foundation of plant morphogenesis. These underlying theories are widely applied in modern biotechnology, including vegetative propagation (e.g., tissue culture, grafting, and cutting), plant genome editing and genetic transformation, crop molecular breeding, and plant chassis technology in synthetic biology. Furthermore, they play a core guiding role in industrial applications such as cellular agriculture and vertical farming.

To facilitate comprehensive exchanges on the forefront of basic theoretical and applied technological research in this field, and to build an international academic platform exploring its industrial prospects, two previous International conferences on Plant Stem Cell and Regeneration were successfully held in 2022 and 2024. To continue advancing this initiative, the 2026 International Conference on Plant Stem Cell and Regeneration (PSCR 2026), co-organized by Shandong University, Huazhong Agricultural University, the Plant Cell Biology Branch of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology (CSCB), and Shandong Codelink Plant Stem Cell Co., Ltd., will be held in Weihai, Shandong Province, China, from August 28 to 31, 2026.

Under the theme of "Plant Stem Cells: The Power of Regeneration, The Source of Health," this conference will focus on crucial scientific questions and cutting-edge progress in the field. In-depth discussions will center around fundamental research, technological innovation, and application exploration. The conference aims to establish a high-level academic platform to foster innovative development and cultivate young talents in the field of plant stem cells.
